I have always loved traditional Chinese paintings of flowers, and I love painting my garments so the wearer can become the canvas. In the Chinese language of flowers, magnolias symbolize perseverance, as they are the some of the first flowers to bloom in the Spring—so what better way to launch my Spring collection than with magnolias! I designed the Teardrop Top based on qipao collars, and really liked the image of a teardrop piercing through the chest to the spine, leading me to the mirrored teardrop cutout. 

This piece is fully lined and hand-painted.
